Sparkling Moscato Cocktails, Anyone?

Although most of our Australian wines are best enjoyed on their own, or with matching foods; our Flamingo Sparkling Moscato is the perfect base for a celebratory cocktail.

So while the masses are pouring yet another Aperol Spritz; stand out from the crowd and delight your friends and guests with these fun and refreshing, sparkling Moscato cocktails.

Flamingo Sparkling Moscato Sangria

Whether you’ve got some unexpected guests, you don’t have the time to make individual cocktails, or it’s just a sunny Sunday afternoon; this sangria is the perfect thing for low-key get-togethers.

60ml of framboise
2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
450ml of cranberry juice
750ml of Flamingo Sparkling Moscato
500ml of sparkling water
250g of sliced strawberries
250g each of blueberries and raspberries
1 lemon, thinly sliced
Plenty of ice cubes

In a punchbowl (or a large enough jug), combine the framboise, lemon juice and sugar. Then stir to dissolve the sugar, before pouring in the cranberry juice, Flamingo Moscato and sparkling water. Finally, add the berries, lemon slices and ice, then give it a final stir and let your guests serve themselves.

Flamingo Moscato Pomegranate Sparklers

Whether you’re celebrating a landmark event, or just the fact that you managed to find the time to catch up, these pomegranate sparklers will lift the atmosphere of any event.

If you have any trouble finding the pomegranate syrup, try your local, Middle-Eastern deli.

Ice cubes
250ml of pomegranate syrup
250ml of fresh lime juice (8-10 limes)
750ml of Flamingo Moscato
Thin lime slices for garnish
Pomegranate seeds for garnish

Chill 4 martini or cocktail glasses. Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice and add 60ml each of pomegranate and lime juice before covering and shaking for 20 seconds. Strain into a glass and top with Flamingo Moscato. Repeat this step to fill the 3 remaining glasses and top each of them with a slice of lime and a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds. Serve immediately.

Flamingo Moscato Peach Bellinis

Bellini Flamingo.jpg

While it’s usually polite to wait until lunch to enjoy a cocktail (unless you’re Don Draper or Dean Martin), Bellinis and brunch are a match made in heaven.

The sweeter notes of our Flamingo Sparkling Moscato make these bellinis the perfect pairing for a stack of pancakes, or as a contrasting cleanser for crisp bacon or grilled halloumi.

If you don’t have access to a decent food processor, hunt around your local health food stores for white peach puree.

2 ripe white peaches, peeled halved and pitted
1 tablespoon of caster sugar
750ml of Flamingo Moscato

Prepare 4 champagne flutes. Puree the peaches in a blender until completely smooth (or pour in the white peach puree), taste and add a touch of caster sugar for sweetness if required. Fill each flute about one-third full of the puree and top with Flamingo Moscato. Serve immediately.

Flamingo Moscato Lemonade Strawberry Crush

When the mercury really starts to climb, these strawberry crushes really satisfy your thirst. However, as any good bartender will tell you – it starts with good ice. So to make the perfect crush, make sure that you use crushed ice – not blended.

If you don’t have an ice crusher, or can’t find crushed ice for sale, just wrap ice in a calico bag (or pillow case) and bash away with a mallet or rolling pin – until you get the desired effect.

Crushed ice
8 Strawberries (5 for blending and 3 to sliced)
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
Sliced lemon pieces
200ml of Flamingo Moscato

Simply blend 5 strawberries, the sugar and lemon juice together, strain into a tall glass with ice, top with Flamingo Moscato and add your sliced strawberry and lemon pieces. Repeat for additional glasses.
