This has been a hell of a year… excuse the cliché, but where did the time go?

Our very first vintage of the newly acquired Eden Valley vineyard felt like it was only a few weeks ago, but here we are, 9 months later, with the wines bottled and ready to go; looking gorgeous and tasting fabulous, I should add!

The team at The Collective Wine Company has worked tirelessly throughout this short year, and we have yielded some wonderful results - from the hectic harvest, to the fastidious stages of wine making and the stimulating, creative artistry behind the brand and label, it has all seamlessly come together, and ultimately brought us to the launch last Tuesday. While it was slightly later in the year than the norm, I think everyone would agree that it was a great way to kick-off the new brand, and an even better way to conclude the year!


Held at the stylish Crane Bar in Sydney’s Pott’s Point, our head winemaker Simon Gilbert was present, talking with the guests; providing a little insight into his background and his personal links to the Eden Valley, as well as taking everyone through the journey that is the Artiste wines.

delicate, fresh Coffin Bay Oysters (special request by Simon himself, in true South Australian spirit) that greeted guests on arrival, to the juicy richness of the Miso Pork Loins and balanced refinement of the Chardonnay that farewelled our guests until next year.  Not to forget of course, the performance by Executive Chef Taichi Ito of his expert knife skills; he made quick work of what was ultimately a super tasty Kingfish sashimi served alongside the floral perfumed notes of the Viognier. There wasn’t much meat left on the bone once he was done with it (his boss would have been very happy)

The 6 wines we presented on the night have all had fantastic reviews ,and the food that was paired alongside them was a treat to say the least. The atmosphere was fused together by the music of the Jazz Professionals, adding to the ambiance of what was already a very delightful evening. With a combination of fine wines, mouth-watering modern Japanese cuisine, wonderful music, and even better company, who could hope for anything more? A tremendous thanks to all of our guests who helped make the evening what it was, we hope it was as enjoyable for you all as it was for us, and we hope to see everyone again next year!
